Student Mental Health Info: Invitation for SKY Happiness Retreat Mar 1-3/ Mar 29-31

I am writing on behalf of SKY Meditation at Purdue, a registered student organization focused on the mental well-being of students, staff, and faculty on campus.

To equip students with mental health tools and create positive social connections, we are hosting the 3-day SKY Happiness Retreat at Purdue on March 1-3, and March 29-31, which is a mental health resource that many students, staff, and faculty can benefit from. It is being offered as a fully funded program for the undergraduate students, and partially funded for graduate students and staff and faculty. Participants can pick from any one of the weekends.

The write-up for this retreat is appended below and the flier is attached. Here is a gentle reminder. Could you please forward this message to your department so that maximum people can benefit from it?

One of our internationally trained breathwork experts who is visiting the campus this semester would love to come and do a 5-minute announcement including a breathing technique that can recharge your students at the beginning of the class. We are happy to collaborate with you on any long-term wellness initiatives. Please let me know if you would like that or if you have any questions.

SKY Happiness Retreat

SKY Happiness Retreat is a high-impact 9-hour total well-being training offered to thousands of university students, faculty, and staff across the country. Recent study at Yale University found that SKY Happiness Retreat significantly reduces stress, depression, and has a long-lasting impact on mental health, mindfulness, positive emotion, and social connectedness. The SKY Happiness Retreat introduces SKY Meditation, an evidence-based meditation practice integrated with breath work that can significantly increase one's well-being and calmness, and significantly reduces anxiety and stress markers. The course features interactive group processes, experiential learning, emotional intelligence training, breath-work, yoga, and evidence-based meditation. It's one of the coolest places to connect with yourself, make new friends, and most importantly, have fun!

We're happy to share that the SKY Happiness Retreat is fully funded for undergraduate students, and partially funded for graduate students, staff and faculty. Availability is first-come-first serve, by registration only and requires attendance to all sessions. Limited spots are available.
