I recently graduated from Purdue ECE and joined Western Digital, R&D Engineering. Our team is looking for a summer ‘22 intern. Could you please post the following job description on the announcements page and/or email this to the PhD graduate students?
Job Description
We are seeking candidates for a summer intern R&D Engineering position focused on CMOS technology development for 3D NAND Flash. In this internship, you will get a chance to work with world's leading 3D NAND Flash R&D team and help broaden your exposure to our memory industry and our organization.
The project will focus on using your device physics background to analyze and understand transistor level data, and propose improvements to future CMOS technology for 3D NAND flash. Daily activities will include data analysis , creating technical summary reports and suggesting new solutions to improve transistor performance. You will also get a chance to use SENTAURUS TCAD simulations and hands on characterization to explore different phenomenon in depth. During this internship, you will also gain exposure to elements of circuit design and process integration.
Qualifications
- Ongoing PhD research with emphasis in the field of semiconductors / solid state physics
- Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor device physics and wafer level device fabrication techniques
- Strong background and experience in statistical data analysis using excel/python/jump is preferred
- Familiarity with TCAD tools (ex. SENTAURUS) is plus
- Self-starter with strong initiative & detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Expected graduation from PhD in summer 2023.
