The BioNanophotonics laboratory focuses on basic research studying how light and sound interact with biomolecules and cells. We have expertise in microscopy, metamaterials, and nanofabrications. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our lab. In addition to carrying out research, the post doc will be expected to write and submit manuscripts collaboratively with the team for peer-reviewed publication and assist with proposal writing. The successful candidate will be encouraged to submit the output of their work to scientific conferences and professional meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- The successful candidate should be highly motivated and hard working, able to work independently, and function well as part of a team;
- Applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD degree in imaging, biophysics, biophotonics or similar fields;
- Previous experience in developing optical microscopy including multiphoton, confocal, super resolution, or light-sheet microscopy, etc is required;
- Additional experience in cell culture is desirable;
- Other essential qualifications include excellent verbal and written communication skills.
