The Ohio State University and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are inviting applications for a tenure track faculty position in applied electromagnetics to support the priorities of the ElectroScience Laboratory (ESL), a major center of excellence in the College of Engineering. We are interested in a broad pool of applicants with research interests and expertise in RF circuits and systems, optics and photonics, technologies for quantum information science and engineering, mixed-signal microelectronics, or other areas of applied electromagnetics. While the search is focused on assistant professor positions, outstanding candidates at the associate level will also be considered.
 
​​Required Qualifications:  Applicants must have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering or related area.
Successful candidates are expected to:
  • Develop a vigorous externally funded research program, as evidenced by grants and awards from a variety of funding agencies;
  • Develop excellence and leadership in both scholarly and professional activities, as evidenced by a strong record of publications and service in technical societies;
  • Develop outstanding instructional skills in the classroom at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as evidenced by curricular development, awards for teaching, and teaching innovations; and
  • Develop leadership in or contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion, as evidenced by a record of instructing, advising, mentoring, and impacting students of all backgrounds, including students from underrepresented minorities.
