Social Science Research Council (SSRC) International Dissertation Research Fellowship (IDRF) Info Session

For all PhD students in social sciences and humanities who would like funding for a semester or a year for their dissertation research about overseas or US Indigenous cultures and societies - this opportunity is for you! SSRC IDRF program officer Dr. Daniella Sarnoff will present on the benefits and requirements of the award along with the best practices for applying. Second through fourth year students are encouraged to apply if they will obtain ABD status prior to the start of the fellowship (but ABD status is not required for the application deadline on Nov. 2).
There are NO citizenship requirements for the SSRC IDRF.
National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship

Come hear about the NDSEG Fellowship, which provides 3 years of funding to PhD students in their first or second year in a STEM field. The details of the benefits of the fellowship along with tips for submitting a competitive application will be discussed. PhD students in a variety of sciences and engineering disciplines are welcome to apply. US citizenship is required for the NDSEG fellowship.
Ford Foundation Fellowship

Come learn tips for successful applications for the prestigious Ford Foundation Fellowship, which emphasizes diversity and the applicant’s goal to become a faculty member. The fellowship is offered at three levels: predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral – both graduate students and postdocs are welcome to attend! US Citizenship or permanent residency is required for the Ford Foundation Fellowship.
