Dr. Rajamani Gounder selected for Science Advances Editorial Board
Dr. Rajamani Gounder, the Larry and Virginia Faith Associate Professor in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, has recently been selected as an Associate Editor of the Science Advances Editorial Board. Editors are chosen from a high achieving international pool of researchers who have made significant advancements in their field and strive to promote the importance of interdisciplinary collaborations.
As part of the Editorial Board, Dr. Gounder will be responsible for peer-reviewing scientific articles through the selection and publication process in order to maintain the high-level quality of content produced. Current editorial board members are also responsible for selecting the next group of editors.
Science Advances, a digital-only extension of Science Magazine, was launched in 2015 and has since then grown to be a preeminent publisher of scientific papers. With over 20,000 papers submitted over 90 countries world-wide, it takes a well-composed team to keep the magazine running.
“I am honored by this selection to the join the illustrious Editorial Board of Science Advances,” says Dr. Gounder, “and I look forward to serving the scientific community in this editorial role.”
Dr. Gounder joined the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue in 2013. His research focuses on the fundamental science of catalysis, and its practical applications to develop sustainable routes to synthesize chemicals and fuels and to mitigate their deleterious impacts on the environment.
