ChE undergraduate students to receive national AIChE awards

Two Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate students will receive national-level American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) awards. Rohan Dighe and Claire O’Connor are set to be recognized for scholastic achievement and freshman recognition at the 2018 AIChE Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in October.

Two Davidson School of Chemical Engineering undergraduate students will receive national-level American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) awards. Rohan Dighe and Claire O’Connor are set to be recognized for scholastic achievement and freshman recognition at the 2018 AIChE Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in October.

Rohan Dighe (left) will receive the 2017-2018 Donald F. Othmer Sophomore Academic Excellence Award. The Sophomore Academic Excellence Award is presented to an AIChE student member who has attained the highest scholastic grade-point average during his/her freshman and sophomore years. Sponsored by the AIChE ScaleUp Sponsors, the Award includes a Certificate of Recognition, free registration to the upcoming Annual Student Conference, and a travel allowance.

Claire O’Connor (right) will receive the 2017-2018 Freshman Recognition Award. The Freshman Recognition Award is presented to one AIChE student member in each student chapter who has been the most active in their student chapter during his or her freshman year, on recommendation of the Student Chapter Advisor.
