Two Chemical Engineering Graduate Students Earn Top Honors at Sigma Xi Poster Competition

Congratulations to Agnes Mendonca and Rohit Jaini for their first place finishes in the 2015 Sigma Xi Graduate Student & Post-Doctoral Research Poster Competition.

Jaini, who is advised by Professor John Morgan, presented a poster entitled “Metabolite Profiling of the Monolignol Biosynthesis Pathway Using Reversed Phase Liquid Chromotography Couple with Tandem Mass Spectrometry.”

Mendonca, who is advised by Professor Chongli Yuan, presented a poster entitled “A Mechanistic Understanding of the Effect of DNA Hydroxymethylation on Nucleosomal Conformation and Stability.”

Both graduate students were recognized during Sigma Xi’s annual banquet in April.
