David M. Williams Receives Bernie Flowers Award for Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football

David M. Williams, Senior Director of Development for the School of Chemical Engineering, received the Bernie Flowers Award for Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football.

David M. Williams, Senior Director of Development for the School of Chemical Engineering, was presented with the Bernie Flowers Award for Outstanding Contribution to Amateur Football at the annual Joe Tiller Chapter of Northwest Indiana National Football Foundation Honors Dinner on June 10, 2015.

First introduced in 2005, the award was named for former Purdue All-American Bernie Flowers in 2011, and annually recognizes an individual whose efforts and activities support the goals of the National Football Foundation on the local level, bringing attention to those who work tirelessly out of love for football and a desire to help children play the game.

Williams was recognized for his dedication to Greater Lafayette’s Little Gridiron Youth Football program for which he served as commissioner and president from 2001-2013.

Williams has been with the School of Chemical Engineering as a Senior Director of Development since August 2013.
