In September 2015  Assistant Professor Bryan Boudouris will travel to the United Kingdom to represent the American Physical Society's Division of Polymer Physics (DPOLY) at the 27th Meeting of the Polymer Physics Group of the Institute of Physics.

The UK PPG/DPOLY Polymer lecture exchange was established in 2009 with the goal to strengthen ties between the APS and IOP and is offered every two years. Each organization chooses a young researcher to present an invited lecture at the meeting of the other organization.

Boudouris was selected following a rigorous review of his nomination letter, supporting letters and copies of three publications. Professor Boudouris joined the faculty at Purdue in 2011; he holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota.

Boudouris' research focuses on how control of macromolecular design affects the nanoscale structure of materials. His research group is examining some specific research thrusts that utilize the advantages of functional homopolymers and block polymers for the fabrication of next generation organic electronic and advanced separations devices for enhanced energy, water, and homeland security applications.
