Purdue ChE Alumnus Rick Brajer (BSChE 1983) will assume leadership of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services this month. He was appointed to the position by North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory.

Most Recently Brajer was CEO at ProNerve, a provider of intraoperative neuromonitoring services for surgeons, and before that president and CEO of LipoScience, a medical diagnostics company. Prior to that, Brajer held various senior management positions with Becton Dikinson and Company, a medical technology company.
