Tony Mikos, (PhD ’88),  the J. W. Cox professor of Bioengineering and Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Rice University, has been elected a Fellow of the Biomedical Engineering Society. This is a wonderful recognition of Dr. Mikos’ seminal contributions to the bioengineering field.  BMES' announcement indicates "BMES Fellow status will be awarded to Society members who demonstrate exceptional achievements and experience in the field of biomedical engineering".
