Job Summary
The Laboratory and Assessment Coordinator serves two primary roles supporting the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering (BME). The main roles are to coordinate the instructional laboratory courses and the academic assessment strategies for BME. Additional responsibilities include direct assessment of the instructional lab courses, lecture courses, and some undergraduate program components in BME, as well as support for the Senior Design Projects course.
Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in engineering or life sciences

Two (2) years of biomedical engineering practice or research experience

Experience preparing educational materials, teaching, and assessing performance

Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds

Excellent organizational and time management skills
-
Experience training with various types of bioinstrumentation and medical equipment as well as basic electronics skills
Preferred:
-
High quality assessment and evaluation skills, including creating assessment tools with ability to collect, compile, and evaluate assessment data.
