Graduate School Funding
Graduate students are encouraged to speak to faculty members about funded research assistantships.
Funded teaching assistantships in AAE are assigned by the Graduate Chair with recommendations from AAE faculty. Preference is given to students based on the expected time to complete their degree, which generally aligns with the following trend.
- Ph.D. Candidates
- MS Students (thesis)
- MS Students (non-thesis)
Many AAE students find funded positions in other departments, such as Engineering Education and Mathematics. The Graduate School website lists more opportunities. Partial or full funding can also be acquired through grants and fellowships. Please note that exceptional students should apply for National Fellowships.
