Study Abroad for Pre-freshmen in China!

Program runs from June 27 - July 10, 2018

Participants will be inspired to develop a global mindset by personally experiencing the impact of globalization on consumer trends, product design, and workplace teamwork, with a focus on China.

Participants will reflect and develop their intercultural sensitivities by immersing themselves in one of the oldest civilizations in the world - Chinese culture. Participants will bond with fellow Purdue students and local young people during the program. Program highlights include (subject to change due to availability) industrial visits in multiple engineering fields, cultural lectures from local experts, one-on-one interaction with local college students, visit to the Great Wall of China, Temple of Heaven and Tea Ceremony experience, Olympic stadium "Birds nest" & Water Cube, high speed train travel from Beijing to Shanghai, visit to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Urban Planning Museum, The Bund, Yuyuan Garden and Chen Huang Miao (City God Temple Shanghai) ERA Acrobatics Show, Calligraphy Workshop, Kung fu class, Chinese cooking workshop, and woodworking lesson.
