First-Year Engineering Advising

2024-2025 Academic Advising Office Operations

Are you a First-Year Engineering student with questions or concerns? Your Academic Advisor is ready to assist you!

The first week of each semester is dedicated to drop-in appointments, both virtual and in-person. For the remainder of the semester, we recommend you schedule in-person or virtual appointments through Boiler Connect to ensure you are able to speak with your assigned advisor. For more urgent or last-minute matters, you are encouraged to come to our offices in Dudley Hall (or check in with us online) to speak with an advisor at any time during our normal hours of operation. Your assigned advisor also will alert you to their own drop-in hours throughout the semester so that you have a better chance of connecting with them. Whether virtual or in-person, your advising appointment will be about 30-minutes.

First-Year Engineering Honors students are asked to contact their FYE Honors Academic Advisor for advising and assistance.

Students who are looking to CODO to First-Year Engineering may meet with an FYE Academic Advisor beginning on the third week of each fall or spring semester (and continuing to the end of the term) after reviewing the FYE CODO Policy and watching the CODO video.
