Approved Substitutions for Required FYE Courses
The following courses have been approved by the First-Year Engineering Curriculum Committee as acceptable substitutions for the listed FYE Requirements. Students in FYE should typically plan on taking the standard coursework; most of these substitutions are appropriate for students who took the course(s) prior to entering FYE—for example, before transferring from a Purdue Regional Campus to West Lafayette, or before CODO from a different degree program at Purdue.
Approved transfer courses (those taken at universities other than any of the Purdue Regional campuses) will post to a student's transcript as the appropriate Purdue-West Lafayette course number. See the Purdue Transfer Credit Course Equivalency Guide for more information.
This list may be updated periodically by the First-Year Engineering Curriculum Committee. The list below was approved on December 10, 2014. Additions to the list were approved on January 13, 2015; February 17, 2015; March 10, 2015; and February 6, 2017.
