Approved Substitutions for Required FYE Courses
The following courses have been approved by the First-Year Engineering (FYE) Curriculum Committee as acceptable substitutions for the listed FYE Course Requirements. Students in FYE should typically plan on taking the standard coursework. Most of these substitutions are appropriate for students who took the course(s) from a campus within the Purdue University System (Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW), Purdue University in Indianapolis (PUi), or Purdue University Northwest (PNW)) prior to entering FYE on Purdue's main campus in West Lafayette, or before Change of Degree Objective (CODO) from a different degree program at Purdue.
Approved transfer courses (those taken at universities/campuses other than PFW, PUi, or PNW) will post to a student's transcript as the appropriate Purdue-West Lafayette course number. See the Purdue Transfer Credit Course Equivalency Guide for more information.
This list may be updated periodically by the First-Year Engineering Curriculum Committee. The list below was approved on December 10, 2014. Additions to the list were approved on January 13, 2015; February 17, 2015; March 10, 2015; and February 6, 2017.
