Wang Hall 4th Floor Mac Printing.

MAC Printer Instructions - Wang 4000 P1, P2, P3, P4
 
For MAC computers . . .
 
Download & Install the Ricoh Printer Drivers Pack from Apple (v3.0) https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1867
 
Launch System Preferences
 
Select "Print & Scan"
 
Select "+", "Add Printer or Scanner"
 
Select the "Advanced" button(If not present, add advanced button to printer add menu( Customize toolbar -right clicking (ctrl click on toolbar then drag Advanced button and drop on toolbar)))
 
Select Type" Windows Printer via Spoolss"
URL: smb://ecnprint06.itap.purdue.edu/wang4000p#-ps
                                                                                             ^Where the # is replaced by the actual printer number you intend to print to/set up.
Name: (Name of printer) (example: wang4000p1)
Location: (Location of printer) (example: WANG 4000p1
 
Use:  "Select Printer Software"
 
In the "Printer Software" Pop-up window, enter the following in
the "Filter" field "Ricoh MP C5503"
 
Select "RICOH Aficio MP C5503PS" and "OK"
 
Select "Add"
 
For the "Setting up 'wang4000p1..' dialog box(if presented),
select the following option:
Finisher:  Finisher SR3140(If not prompted, edit printer options, setting finisher to SR3140)
 
You will be prompted for password credentials per print job unless the password is saved to keychain.
 
If you have any issues with setting up the Printer in OS X or have any
additional questionssubmit a trouble ticket from the ECN main page.
 
Keychain info:
Whenever you change your Career account password you will also have to change the password for the printer.
Updating the keychain password for the printer is accomplished by going to
Applications – Utilities – Keychain Access.
Enter Wang in the search window, locate the Printer password entry, then double click on it.
Click the “Show password:” box and then enter your mac login password on the popup and click “Allow”.
Next enter your new Career account password and click “Save Changes” to save your new password.
