Colleges of Technology and Engineering Merging IT Support
On September 20, 2010 it was formally announced that the College of Technology IT support would merge with the College of Engineering IT Support group known as ECN. This merger is in line with the Campus IT Plan and allows both colleges to share knowledge and expertise, leverage infrastructure, and reduce duplication of effort.
The transition of services is expected to last until September 2011. In the end we expect to provide both a higher quality and quantity of service. We will work to make this change as smooth as possible and appreciate your support throughout the process. UPDATE: As of October 2012, transition of services is still ongoing. We are doing transitions at a slow, managed pace to be less disruptive to the day-to-day working of the College. We expect this to last at least until Fall 2013.
Note, during the transition not all information on the ECN website will apply to all users.
