Prostep OpenPDM

Prostep OpenPDM is middleware used to connect systems used for research in IN-MaC. Nate Hartman has paid the vendor for consulting time, and they are installing and configuring the software and integrations. The software will run on ecn-openpdm using the gMSA ecn-sw-openpdm. Our rep at Prostep is Courtney Rainey (Courtney.Rainey@PROSTEP.com), and the technical contact handling OpenPDM installation and configuration is Prasanna Danda (Prasanna.Danda@PROSTEP.com).

The initial integration will allow migration of data from Teamcenter on ecn-inmac-tcdev to Solumina on solumina01.tech.purdue.edu. If an OpenPDM integration with another Teamcenter server is added in the future, the firewall rule on ecn-dc-fw.tcom.purdue.edu for outbound traffic from ecn-openpdm will need to be updated.

The Teamcenter user "openpdmdba" on ecn-inmac-tcdev has dba privileges to allow the integration to work. The connection to Solumina does not require credentials, but the vendor has an account "prostep" with read-only access to validate the transfer of data from Teamcenter.
