PostScript: Converting a PostScript File to GIF with 'convert'
The simplest way to convert a PostScript (.ps) file to a GIF (.gif) image is to use the convert program included with the ImageMagick suite. Use convert as follows:
convert postscript_file.ps new_image.gif
(Be sure to replace postscript_file.ps and new_image.gif with actual paths and file names.)
If for some reason the ImageMagick tools are not in your default paths, you can modify the above command to include the full path to convert:
/usr/local/bin/convert postscript_file.ps new_image.gif
For more information on convert, read the corresponding man page:
man convert
