Mapping The Classes Share ("The G Drive")

Polytechnic Institute students often need access to their classes share (sometimes called "the G:\ drive"). Here's the information you need to manually map the network drive:

If you are off campus, you'll need to connect first to Purdue's Virtual Private Network (https://webvpn.purdue.edu).

Windows users, type in the folder address like this:

\\sotclass1.tech.purdue.edu\classes

Macintosh users, type it in like this:

cifs://sotclass1.tech.purdue.edu/classes

Connect using different credentials, typed in like this:

SOT\username

Alternate, less desirable method: We've also created a small vbscript to help map the G drive quickly -- clicking this link (yes, we get the irony) will do the drive mapping steps for you:
