Windows System: Credential Manager

Add a new entry to Credential Management

1. Click the 'Start' button and in the search box, type "Credential Manager". 

2. press Enter. In the new Window, Click on "Windows Vault"

3. Click on "Add a Windows credential"

4. Entry the following information

- servername (must be full eligible name. ex: \\synergy.ecn.purdue.edu or \\ecnprint##.itap.purdue.edu)

- username (domain specific. ex: "ecn\username" for shared drive or "onepurdue\username" for ecnprint server)

- password: your Purdue career account password.

5. Click OK. You can now close the Credential Manager window.

 

Remove an existing entry from Credential Manager

1. Click the 'Start' button and in the search box, type "Credential Manager". 

2. press Enter. In the new Window, Click on "Windows Vault"

3. Under "Windows Credential", find the server you need to remove (ex: \\synergy.ecn.purdue.edu or \\ecnprint##.itap.purdue.edu)

4. Click on "Remove"

5. on Delete Windows Credential windows, click "yes" to confirm the action.

6. If new entry is needed, please follow the instructions in "Add a new entry to Credential Management" session.
