Macintosh printing to a Panasonic printer with Job Accounting

Before adding the printer, you must first have the driver installed, if it has not been installed, you can obtain the driver and driver utility from the following address:

http://panasonic.net/pcc/support/mfp/dp-c405/ps/download.html

Download PPDInst.dmg.zip for Mac OS X 10.2 thru 10.5 and run the installer.

Now download PSSecure.dmg.zip for Mac OS X 10.2 thru 10.5 and run its installer. Open the PS Driver Security Utility program and put your print code in the box labeled Dept. Code.

To initially install the printer, you must be connected to the network via a hard wire. Do not try to add this printer if you are connected wirelessly using PAL(It won't work during the set up phase, but should work after the intitial set up is completed).

Click on System Preferences then Print and Fax. [ If locked, click on lock in bottom left corner and provide Administrative credentials. ]

Click on + to add a printer.

In the box that appears, click on the Windows button at the top and 3 columns should appear.

In the far left column, scroll down and click on ecn.

In the middle column, scroll down and click on vps2. Wait a few seconds and an authentication box will appear. Type ecn\username and your career account password. *If the far right column fails to populate after waiting a sufficient amount of time, you may need to restart your machine and try to add the printer again.*

In the right column, click on the printer, gris233p1.  In the Drop Box at the bottom titled Print Using, pull down to Select a Driver to use and select Panasonic DP-C405 then click add.

[You may need to provide Admin credentials again]

You should now be ready to print.
