ECN Services: The ECN Technical Library

The ECN Library provides a wide variety of books on computer-related topics to assist the ECN staff in servicing the Schools of Engineering. The library contains nearly 1,000 volumes of books on several computer-related topics, including:

  • C/C++
  • Microsoft Office
  • Python
  • Macintosh
  • Unix/Linux
  • Perl
  • PHP
  • Zope
  • ActiveX
  • Many more subjects

The library exists primarily for ECN staff use, but since most books are not in use at any one point in time, Engineering faculty and graduate students are allowed to check out books for a 3-day period. If anyone would like to check a book out of the library, a simple procedure should be followed for doing so:

-Write your name and the date on the card on the inside cover of the book

-Place the card in the "check-out" box located on the middle shelf of the right-side cabinet.

-Return the book to the check-out box within 3 days. The 3-day rule is strictly enforced because ECN staff may need quick access to any book in the library.

The online card catalog for the library is located at https://engineering.purdue.edu/ECN/Resources/Library.
