Disabling the blink tag

Netscape 1.1 added a new HTML tag called BLINK (<blink>). For example, in Netscape or Mozilla, This will be blinking!!.

Some users find documents which contain this tag really annoying. To disable this tag, add the following to your ~/.Xdefaults file:

	Netscape*blinkingEnabled:	False

Then type the following:

	% xrdb ~/.Xdefaults

And restart Netscape. This does not work with Netscape 4.

Please note: On Purdue computers, in most cases, Netscape has been replaced by Mozilla or Firefox.
