ARMS3310 Color Printer Set Up for Mac

Before beginning your installation process, you'll want to gather a bit of information first-- namely, your operating system version. Check with following link for instructions on how to do so: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1633

Also, if you've recently changed your password, make sure to update your Keychain to include the new credential.

The next step is to install the proper driver for this printer. Make sure to install the driver specific to your OS X version. Check the site below for the latest from Toshiba for this machine:

Once you've downloaded the necessary driver, you can begin the setup on your computer (instructions below):

1.  Navigate to your Apple Menu and Select System Preferences...

2. From there, select Printers and Scanners. If the lock in the lower lefthand portion of the menu dialog is locked, unlock it using your administrator account. 

3. At this point, remove any old installations of arms3310c1 by highlighting the specific printer and pressing the "-" symbol. You can disregard this step though if it doesn't apply to you. 

4. Now, press the "+" symbol to add your new printer.

5. If in the top of the Add Printer window, you don't see an Advanced button (a gear), right click (CTRL + click) on the area just to the right of the Windows button. Select  "Customize Toolbar." Drag the Advanced button into the Toolbar.

6. Select Advanced.

7. Select or input the following information for each field.

• In the Type field: Windows or Windows Printer via spoolss

• In the Address field: smb://ecnprint03.itap.purdue.edu/arms3310c1-ps

• In the Name field: arms3310c1-ps via ecnprint03

• Print Using: Should automatically preset itself to TOSHIBA ColorMFP. If it does not, choose the TOSHIBA ColorMFP driver from the Select Software option.

The other fields should be left alone. Click Add.

8. Lastly, if not prompted, make the following changes to the new printer's settings:

• Model: Toshiba e-Studio6570cSeries
• Finisher: Saddlestitch Finisher and Hole Punch
• Drawers: Drawer 1,2 & Drawer 3,4
• External LCF: Not Installed
