Sue Hong is a very experienced problem solver who is currently employed by Ford Motor Company as Manager of Electrified Powertrain Systems and Leader of Team Edison. She has twenty-eight years of engineering experience, all with Ford, and fifteen years of experience in various areas of Powertrain including Electrified Powertrain, Powertrain as installed, and Powertrain Integration Management. Sue has a great deal of experience in vehicle program management, and also has experience working in plant vehicle team management and strategic planning.
Sue is an inspiring leader who has professionally worked in global and international programs for Ford. From 2011-2015 Sue was manager of the first Global Product Development initiative between the People’s Republic of China and Ford Joint Venture. As manager of this program, Sue was directly responsible for delivering on the program’s condition of meeting the People’s Republic of China’s unique requirements, all while staying within the established costs and targets.
Sue Hong is an alumnus of Purdue University’s School of Mechanical Engineering, having received her BSME in 1988. She is adept at balancing strategic priorities with performance in a working environment, and is recognized for her ability to excel at comprehending the complex interaction of product and business needs.
