Pamela Banner Krupka is a retired patent attorney with both 8 years engineering and 32 years legal experience. Pamela received her BSEE from Purdue University in 1980 and started work as a semiconductor engineer for Texas Instruments, Inc. Her industry experience includes product engineering in linear circuit technology as well as digital signal processing systems engineering. While working as an engineer, she attended George Washington University Law School at night and received her JD in 1987.
As a lawyer, she provided practical guidance to clients making decisions regarding their intellectual property. She managed the strategy, preparation, and procurement of global patent portfolios for Fortune 100 innovating companies, providing oversight and guidance with an independent perspective. Her expertise
covers a variety of fields, including electronics, mechanical devices, software, bioinformatics, and medical devices.
Pamela has held numerous leadership and teaching roles, including serving as the Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law, the largest and oldest professional organization of IP lawyers. She served as a judicial law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and as Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center.
Eager to give back and pay it forward, Pamela applies her skills in a number of philanthropic arenas, including supporting and serving on the boards of several arts nonāprofits and educational institutions, mentoring first generation college students, and leveraging technology to connect the homeless to supportive services.
