Duke University’s Pierre R. Lamond Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is hiring a Professor of the Practice (teaching faculty) in the areas of software, computer architecture, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), and/or human-computer interaction. The position is open to traditionally academic candidates, as well as candidates interested in pivoting from industry into teaching.
The role is a non-tenure-track regular rank position with a focus on teaching, with a course load of 2 fall + 2 spring. It requires a PhD in a related field and a strong focus on the university’s teaching mission. We’re accepting applications until late June.
