Professor Litster Honored for Pharmaceutical Discovery

The AIChE Pharmaceutical Discovery, Development and Manufacturing Forum awarded its annual Outstanding Contribution to QbD for Drug Product honor to Professor James Litster.

Professor James Litster was recognized at the 2015 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting for his contributions to QbD for Drug Products. The award is administered by the Pharmaceutical Discovery, Development and Manufacturing Forum (PD2M) of AIChE.

Research into the recovery and delivery of bioactives, particularly by crystallization and precipitation, garnered the award for Professor Litster. The award includes a plaque and $1,500.

Professor Litster has been with the School of Chemical Engineering since 2007. He also is a professor of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy.
