Osman Basaran, Reilly Professor of Fluid Mechanics, has been elected Fellow of the American Physical Society. The citations reads "For computational, theoretical, and experimental work on improving understanding of pinch-off singularities, drop formation, and electrohydrodynamics and for development of nonstandard inkjet printing applications."

Dr. Basaran will be recognized at the 2008 APS meeting, November 23-25, San Antonio, Texas.
