• Professor Joe Pekny for his leadership in changing the Indiana and Purdue University tuition policy for active duty military.  His commendation from the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command reads: "Joseph Pekny, Ph.D., is officially commended for your outstanding service in support of the Uniformed Army Scientist and Engineer Ph.D. Program. Your efforts fostered a very valuable collaborative relationship between academia, the Army Research, Development and Engineering Command and the Army as a whole.
