Arvind Varma elected Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers

Arvind Varma, R. Games Slayter Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering and Head, Purdue School of Chemical Engineering, has been elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).

Arvind Varma, R. Games Slayter Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering and Head, Purdue School of Chemical Engineering, has been elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).  His election "testifies to the high esteem in which he is held by his peers." Dr. Varma was recognized at the 2008 AIChE Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA, held during November 16-21, 2008, which also celebrated the centennial of AIChE as a professional society.

The grade of Fellow in AIChE is a special category of membership that identifies and honors that group of Senior Member chemical engineers who have made meaningful impacts on the profession. Election as Fellow is a recognition of professional attainment, and significant accomplishment in engineering.
