1978 AAE Distinguished Engineering Alumnus

Martin W. Taylor

Vice President, Maintenance, Continental Airlines
BSATR ’48

Mr. Taylor has devoted his entire career to air transportation. While at Pan Am, he was in charge of the development and operation of this country's first airline jet engine overhaul facility. He joined Continental Airlines in 1968 and is currently responsible for the maintenance activities of that airline, as well as Air Micronesia. Continental has one of the highest rates of aircraft utilization, which is largely credited to the extraordinary maintenance efficiency supervised by Mr. Taylor. Also under his direction are the labor relations activities and the evaluation of new aircraft.
