Senior Highlight: Joseph Fiebig, Engineering Management

Joseph Fiebig, a 2022 senior in our Multidisciplinary Engineering Degree Program, will soon head out to Erie, PA for his next giant leap. We caught up with Joe before commencement to learn more about his time at Purdue and in the MDE undergraduate program.

What is your major and concentration?
Multidisciplinary Engineering, Engineering Management

Where do you call home?
Willoughby Hills, OH

What led you to choose MDE/IDES?
I was a fan of the ability to choose classes from any discipline as well as the engineering management concentration.

What were you involved in while at Purdue?
My greatest involvement in college has been Purdue Outing Club, in which I was the Vice President for a year as well as a Backpacking Consultant and Coordinator for a large orienteering race twice.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Purdue?
Recreating the "Duel of the Fates" scene from The Phantom Menace using ice scrapers against a stranger on the Slayter Hill stage.

What are your next steps after graduation?
Full Time position helping an engineering consulting/construction company start a construction management group in Erie, PA

Get to know your fellow MDE students early on!
