On Saturday, November 10 from 5:00am until approx 8:00am,
the electrical service to the MSEE building will be shut down.
This shutdown is required to complete vault maintenance at MSEE.
Many centrally supported computing services will be affected by
this power outage.  We hope the time of the outage is such that
it will not be too inconvenient.

This will affect many ECN services that are supported in the MSEE
building. These include:
        Oracle          - Database Services
        Mysql           - Database Services
        FTP             - File transfer server
        WebMAIL         - Web mail interface
        SMTP            - Outgoing authenticated sending of e-mail
        Mailman         - E-mail list management
        Web Cluster     - Zope and Apache web services
        File servers    - ECE file servers
                        - Fairway.ecn (DOE, EBO, POTR, ProED, CEE)
                        - Synergy.ecn (Discovery Park)
                        - Materials.ecn (main MSE server)
                        - XWING file server

        PrintServer     - Discovery Park printing
        riptide         - ECN runtime machine
        SharePoint      - Sharepoint and TeamCenter Portals
        CEEVIDEO        - Streaming Video Server
        DANS            - Desktop Alert System
        WINS            - WINS Services for ECN
        SMS             - Management Server
        ONEPURDUE TRUST

        beehive         - ECN SunRay server (CE, Birck)

This will affect all software licenses and SunRay clients
running on ecegrid.ecn.purdue.edu including:

    Cadence including OrCAD, PSpice, Virtuoso, SOC Encounter
    Mentor graphics including IC Station, Modelsim, HDL Designer
    Synopsys including design compiler, nanosim, HSPICE
    Altera including Quartus
    Agilent including ADS
    Ansoft including HFSS and Maxwell

This will affect all license servers running on dock.ecn.purdue.edu
mooring.ecn.purdue.edu, and payload.ecn.purdue.edu including:

       ABAQUS          JACK
       ANSYS           LS-Dyna
       COMSOL          MATHCAD
       AUTOCAD         MATHEMATICA
       CPLEX           MATLAB
       Em-Plant        PATRAN
       FactoryCAD      Teamcenter
       FLUENT          Unigraphics/NX
       iSIGHT

Note this includes the Campus-wide MATLAB license server,
the ANSYS, COMSOL, and FLUENT license servers used by
some RCAC machines, and some license servers used
in the College of Technology.
