Merle Yoder is a Principal and Co-Founder of Financial Tracking Technologies, a Connecticut-based software company providing compliance solutions to the financial services industry. Clients include Registered Investment Advisors, Family Offices, Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds and Corporations.

Merle started his career in the 80’s with brief stints at Hewlett-Packard Company and Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation. He then embarked on a 30+ year career in financial services software.

He moved to New York City in 1983 and was an early employee of FactSet Research Systems (NYSE:FDS), starting as a software engineer, then moving into the organization’s Sales, Sales Management, and Executive Management teams. He relocated to London to start and run the European division of FactSet, spending six years abroad during the 90’s.

Merle’s additional experience includes five years as a private equity investor and member of various PE portfolio-company management teams, as well as six years with the software firm Capital IQ, which is now part of S&P Global.

Merle earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue in 1982. While at Purdue, he balanced his EE studies with his avid interest in playing the trumpet, participating as a member of the All-American Marching Band, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Concert Band.

His current activities include advising several start-up firms as well serving as a board member and fundraiser for two non-profit organizations. He resides in Greenwich, CT with his wife, Nina. Together they have raised three grown children.
