Dennis Cooke is an energizing, customer-focused senior executive with over 13 years of senior corporate officer experience. He is currently serving as the President and CEO of TransForce Group, and served previously as President of Fleet Management Solutions (FMS), a multi-billion-dollar division of Ryder System, Inc. During this time, Dennis transformed a no-growth business into a growth-oriented, innovative, and agile organization. He revitalized FMS by establishing a collaborative culture with an incentive structure tied to cross-functional team performance, creating an agile and innovative product development organization, reorganizing the sales organization and training process, as well as enhancing customer satisfaction.
As former president of Global Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) for Ryder System Inc., Dennis Cooke has led all global business for Ryder’s largest business segment. He has been responsible for the service of more than 14,000 lease customers and 50,000 rental customers with a fleet of over 230,000 vehicles maintained in 800 locations. Ryder’s FMS segment that Cooke has overseen development of provides truck leasing, rental and maintenance in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Ryder in 2011, Dennis held various positions of increasing responsibility with GE Healthcare for over two decades, including his role as vice president and general manager of GE Healthcare’s Global MRI business. Dennis has served as the President/CEO of Morpho Detection, Inc. and the President and CEO of GE Security, Homeland Protection, Inc. In 2005 Dennis was recognized as a Purdue University School of ECE Outstanding Electrical Engineering Alumnus, and in 2017 he was further recognized as Outstanding Purdue University Engineering Alumnus.
Dennis received his BSEE in 1986 and his MSEE in 1988, both from Purdue University’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He believes that the field of electrical and computer engineering is advancing rapidly, and the importance of education in this fast-paced field cannot be overemphasized. Dennis has demonstrated noteworthy ability, across multiple private and corporate industries, in the building of strong global teams that drive growth by bringing innovative products and services to market while driving operational efficiencies and increasing profitability.
