Online Track: Construction Engineering

Track Description

This online track in construction engineering offers a flexible online option for professional engineers, technologists and project professionals to expand their skill set in construction engineering. The program is interdisciplinary, teaching professionals’ technical skills along with the management principles needed to manage construction projects from design and engineering through project completion. Construction processes are becoming more complex with the need for ‘smart’ buildings, sustainable building practices and the overall trend towards utilizing AI technology and digitalization. This requires greater oversight and increasing demand for specialized management personnel. Growth in the field will also be driven by new construction initiatives and the need to renovate older buildings for energy efficiency, to upgrade roads, highways, bridges, water and sewer pipes.
