AAE Professor Timothee Pourpoint and a team of Purdue researchers and team members from other universities and industry secured a three-year, $3.2-million grant.

Tom Shih, a professor in AAE and former head of the School, will begin the new role in January 2021.

Seven-member, all-senior team will be able to test its tool in 2021 at NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab at Johnson Space Center in Houston.
