The Space and Earth Analogs Research Chapter (SEARCH) of Purdue is with a vision to add more members and partners to the Cradle of Astronauts, as well as increase support for human spaceflight and space exploration.

This May, SEARCH will be running the Crew-2 Mission of their Student Analog Astronaut Training Program (SA²TP). This program will provide Purdue students the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to pursue a career as an astronaut. The club will select 10 students (both graduate and undergraduate) to join the SA²TP Crew-2 mission from May 6th - May 26th, 2024. The mission will cover the themes of Astronautics and Spaceflight, Health and Fitness, and Science and Technology.

The team invites guest speakers and organizes a number of skill-building activities, including orienteering/camping, scuba diving, flight tests, and more. SA²TP will culminate in the experience of learning what skills and qualifications are needed to become an astronaut.
