Grading: Exam 1: 30% (Sept. 24 Tuesday), Exam 2: 30% (October 31 Thursday) and Exam 3: 30% (November 26 Tuesday) and homework: 10% Aattendance/in class discussions will be considered at marginal cases

Course Announcement:

Exam 3 is scheduled on November 26 Tuesday before Thanksgiving. In this case, you don't need to worry about exam anymore during Thanksgiving break. I try to set up a zoom meeting from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Friday evening November 22 to cover Lecture 22 and Lecture 23. Lecture 22 and Lecture 23 will not be included in Exam 3. Lecture 24 (Today) and Lecture 25 (this Thursday) will be included in Exam 3. I posted HW 9 related to Lecture 24/25 for you to prepare for Exam 3. Exam 3 covers Thermal-Electricial Devices and Hot Carriers/Non-local Transport. The answer key of HW 7 and HW8 are posted now and the graded HW 7 and HW 8 will be returned to you on Thursday.
