Update 4/9/2017:
The file system restore has completed satisfactorily, and the system is now available. Thank you for your patience during this stressful time.
The file system restore is pogressing satisfactorily. Approximately half of the files have now been restored. Earlier estimates of Sunday afternoon are still valid.
Update 4/7/2017:
After the file system check completed on min.ecn, further tests indicated that that the filesystem was corrupted. The next step, currently in progress, is to restore all data from our daily backups. This process has started but due to the large amount of data and the sheer volume of small files, our current ESTIMATE is that the system will not be avilable until Sunday afternoon.
4/6/2017:
Min.ecn showed a large filesystem error upon reboot, and is currently running an fsck. Due to the size of the filesystem, this takes several hours. All data is safe, and will become available when the sanity check script finishes.
