Two Chemical Engineering faculty promoted to full professors

Purdue University's Board of Trustees on Thursday, April 2 approved promotions for two Davidson School of Chemical Engineering faculty members. Dr. Bryan Boudouris and Dr. Vilas Pol were promoted to Full Professor. The promotions are effective with the 2020-21 academic year, starting August 10.

Purdue University's Board of Trustees on Thursday, April 2 approved promotions for two Davidson School of Chemical Engineering faculty members.

Dr. Bryan W. Boudouris, the Robert and Sally Weist Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering (left), was promoted to Full Professor. Dr. Boudouris joined Purdue Chemical Engineering in 2011. He received his BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004, and his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2009. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from 2009-2011. He leads a research group composed of chemical engineering and chemistry undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers.

Dr. Vilas Pol, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering (right), was promoted to Full Professor. Dr. Vilas Pol joined Purdue Chemical Engineering in 2014. Dr. Pol received his M.Sc. from Pune University, India in 1996, and his PhD from the University of Bar-Ilan, Israel in 2005. He leads the Vilas Pol Energy Research Group (ViPER).

The promotions are effective with the 2020-21 academic year, starting August 10.
