Prof. Agrawal receives AlChE Founders Award

Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, has received the 2011 AlChE Founders Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Field of Chemical Engineering. The award recognizes outstanding contributions in the chemical engineering field and is awarded to a member whose achievements have advanced the profession.

ChE student named to Purdue trustee board

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels appointed chemical engineering student Miranda McCormack to the Purdue Board of Trustees yesterday (6/7/11). A native of Fowler, Ind., she will represent the student body, serving as the student trustee, effective July 1. She graduated second in her high school class at Benton Central High School in Oxford in 2009.
