In both 2007 and 2008, when she was a high school junior and senior, McCormack participated in teams of students from Indiana high schools that placed in the top three finishers in the Purdue Research Park Entrepreneurship Academy competition. All members of teams that placed in the top three in both of those years received vouchers to help cover college expenses.
