Ranjita Ghose Received a John Jink Company Graduate Fellowship

Ranjita Ghose, a graduate student advised by professor Arvind Varma, is one of the three Purdue recipients of a John Jink Company Graduate Fellowship. The fellowship is for combustion related research. Ranjita works on Oxidative Coupling of Methane to Ethylene.

Dr. Jeffrey J. Siirola to join Purdue ChE as Professor of Engineering Practice

Dr. Jeffrey J. Siirola will join Purdue ChE as Professor of Engineering Practice, starting this Fall semester, at the 50% FTE level. His responsibilities are to teach the senior capstone Design course, to be involved with the Global Policy Research Institute and faculty in the energy/sustainability areas, and to serve as a resource in our planning efforts in his areas of expertise, including manufacturing.

Purdue students win gold in Hong Kong

A team of four Purdue students, including two Engineering students, won first-prize gold June 16 in a global entrepreneurial contest against universities from 26 other countries. Purdue's RollOut Green team won June 16 at Hong Kong Polytechnic University with its business plan to provide homeowners an easy way to grow beautiful flower gardens in three simple steps: lay, cover, and water.
