Transfer and CODO Students

For students transitioning from other majors at Purdue (CODO)

To be considered for a CODO into the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, a student must meet the following criteria:

  1. Completed college coursework equivalent to the following First Year Engineering requirements:
    1. Calculus I: (MA 16100 or MA 16500)
    2. Calculus II: (MA 16200 or MA 16600)
    3. Calculus-based Chemistry: (CHM 11500 & CHM 11600)
    4. Calculus-based Physics: (PHYS 17200)
    5. English Composition (ENGL 10600/10800) or Speech (COM 11400)
  2. Earned an Engineering Admission index and cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
  3. Completed a minimum of 12 credits at the Purdue West Lafayette campus. At least 6 of those 12 credits must be completed in technical & math coursework.    

For students transferring from another university

Students wishing to transfer from another institution into ChE must apply as a transfer student through Purdue's Office of Admissions.

To be considered for admission to the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering, a student must meet the following criteria:

  1. Completed college coursework equivalent to the following First Year Engineering requirements:
    1. Calculus I: (MA 16100 or MA 16500)
    2. Calculus II: (MA 16200 or MA 16600)
    3. Calculus-based Chemistry: (CHM 11500 & CHM 11600)
    4. Calculus-based Physics: (PHYS 17200)
    5. English Composition (ENGL 10600/10800) or Speech (COM 11400)
  2. Earned an overall GPA of a 3.5 or higher.
