Learning communities (LCs) and learning community instructors (LCIs) provide a key method of integration into the Purdue community for first-year students. More than 3,700 Boilermakers participated in 61 LCs in Fall 2017.
The College of Agriculture PK-12 Council's Outreach and Engagement Awards were established to recognize, reward, and celebrate faculty and staff involved in successful outreach and engagement activities and to encourage the improvement and expansion of those activities.
ABE students again comprise half of the winning team. Susan Hubbard and Christopher Stichter are half of this year's Team SoyTack. Our students were part of Team I am BOBA and Team Soy Soft, this year's second- and third-place teams as well.
Science on Tap provides Purdue faculty and collaborating researchers with the opportunity to share research activities in an informal setting with presentations designed to appeal to a more general audience.
Drones have become increasingly popular for people looking to retrieve professional overhead footage and a Purdue based start up is using drone technology to help out farmers across the country.
